Sized right, good padding, and comfortable
The size (large) was accurate, and I especially liked the liner built into the shorts. The padding is exactly what I wanted – thick yet comfortable. The shorts are lightweight and are not bulky.

Work very well, comfortable when riding, might run a bit big on size
I’m 5′ 10″, 175 lb, about a 34″ waist and a Medium (based on other reviews) fit very well. The pad is a bit large, feels awkward off the bike (but does not look awkward), but when sitting and riding, it is perfectly comfortable and effective. When standing to pedal uphill, I don’t even notice it. The top pockets are a bit shallow, and the lower zipped pockets could be a bit larger, I fit my iPhone 13/14/15 in them just fine, but there is no room for anything any larger. Great price point, can’t tell how durable they will be, but they look and feel good. I’d buy them again. If they felt better walking around and if the pockets were just a bit bigger, I’d give them 5 stars.

Decent Bike Short
Maybe it’s just me or because these are relatively new. But unlike my other, much older and worn shorts, the padded liner is a bit stiff and feels like you got a rolled towel between you legs. Of course after 15 miles you get used to it and more than likely appreciate the padding.

May run one size bigger than expected.
I like these shorts. Theyâre my first pair and survived an 86 mi. E-bike ride up the C&O canal towpath from Alexandria to Harperâs Ferry. I am 5â10â 190 lbs average build size 34 waist and I felt the outer shorts ran a little big. As such the inside lining with the pad hung a little lower than comfortable.That said, tho the outer shorts felt big they were actually baggier than expected. The waist did fit snugly with plenty of stretch left and tying the laces didnât feel uncomfortable.As for the inner lining, when I put the shorts on I pulled up the waist as high as I could until I felt the pad in the right place then lowered the shorts back down to my waist. To my pleasant surprise the inner lining stayed put and the shorts performed as advertised. Still, next pair will be a medium for me.Full disclosure, I was also on a full suspension bike with a super wide nose less seat (xwing) but I didnât feel the soreness until about 65 mi in and only then when I switched to my buddyâs road bike.

I purchased a pair of these shorts in late 2021 for context on this review. They are used on average 3-4x a week for 45-60 minutes of cycling done on on paved paths and roads. They are washed every few weeks and done so in a mesh garment bag and dried on medium heat.Overall, these shorts have more than done their job as far as protecting me, padding, etc. As far as the inner shorts and the sewing/materials/construction in general they have held up well to washing and a lot of use. They look well worn but are still in good shape, save for one issue… the zipper pockets on the legs.Part of what I bought these for was to cary my keys, ID, and my headphone case while riding. I wanted something secure that I knew would keep those items with me at all times. Within the first 6 weeks the zipper popped on the right thigh and no longer was able to zip closed. I was disappointed but willing to live with it as the other zipper pocket still worked and held my items fine. Today, the second pockets zipper separated from the material and now no longer zips shut as well. These shorts are no longer going to do for me what I needed them to do so time to either replace with the same or pick a new model to use.As I went back to look at when I bought these and what I paid for them (pretty close to what they are selling for today 2/27/25), I think I can honestly say I got my moneys worth out of them for how much they were used. I’m most likely going to look at alternatives for my replacement instead of buying another pair of these, mainly because of the zippers. If the manufacturer were to reply back that the zipper issue has been addressed, I would purchase another pair as that was my only real gripe.
