Customers find the cookbook’s recipes great and easy to follow, particularly appreciating the breakfast ideas. Cook for one and enjoy it
Really great recipes in here: I cook for one and I get bored. And of course the issue of soups and stews: you get too much and have to fill up the freezer. These recipes are great, LOVE the breakfast ideas, burritos, smoothies, and great dinner ideas of course. The fish section is particularly good and I found several recipes that look like they should be in rotation (salmon, fish teriyaki.)Even the desserts are interesting–an apple kugel. Kugel is a pudding and often it’s a savory-sweet item from potatoes or noodles but this is definitely a fruit dessert. Also a blueberry trifle (layered pudding.)None of the ingredients are unusual or difficult to get. That’s a plus. But they aren’t boring, either. Totally recommend this book if you cook for yourself.

    Recipes are too involved.
Not an easy book to cook from. The recipes are too hard to do for one person. Too many ingredients that are hard to find, in Canada.

Good tips, not so great recipes
It was ok. It had some good shopping tips in the beginning. But the recipes they have in the book for the most part are so high calorie. A few are 500 calories or less per serving, but if you are watching what you eat, 700-1000 calories per meal is a little excessive. I put in some pictures of the book to show. Like I said, not all are that high, but too many of them were for me to make this a super useful cookbook.

    Great Gift with Promising Recipes
Item made a great gift and was exactly as described. No damage upon arrival. Appears to be recipes for every group of eaters. Some of the recipes sounded very yummy and I want to make for myself as well! Personally I like the unique classification this book had such as recipes with limited ingredients, and pairing of internal recipes together to make a rounded meal.Reclipeitant was very happy as they are a college student in an apartment. Would recommend. Would buy again.

    Easy, Well-Written, Great Photos
We gave these cookbooks out as party favors at a recent client event. Everyone loved the book and even those who normally don’t take time to cook for themselves said they were excited to try some of the recipes. Great job!

Appreciate that it has the nutritional breakdown
“The Cooking for One Cookbook: 100 Easy Recipes” by Cindy Kerschner are easy recipes indeed and that is appreciated. What is also appreciated is the nutritional breakdown. A few cookbooks that I’ve looked at of late did not include. It isn’t a necessity (unless it is health focused), but it is appreciated when it is included. For this cookbook, there is a nice range of tastes. To be honest, I concentrated on the meatless mains because that is usually something that only I usually eat so it really is a ‘cook for one’ scenario. I am happy to report that I like most of the recipes in this section and they make for great ‘take to work’ lunches. So I’m pleased about that.I’m was a little disappointed by the breakfast fare but again, I appreciate the nutritional breakdown so I knew which recipes to avoid. I was pleased that I could make the apple kugle from the dessert section. I didn’t trying anything from the fish/seafood chapter because I’m not too into fish or seafood. The protein section is a combination of poultry, pork and meat which is okay by me.The opening chapter is brief but pertinent for basics and meal planning. I’m okay with that as well, but I was a bit surprised at how short that section is. There isn’t much in the way of appendices at the back. There is basically a measurement conversion, the dirty and clean 15 lists, and list of web resources. It isn’t an in-depth cookbook but I still rate it as a 4-star because it does deliver on easy recipes, relatively easy to find ingredients, a variety of tastes and the nutritional breakdown of the recipe.

I was so disappointed that there were almost no images of these recipes.Expensive book for what it is, poorly set out, no way of printing any of your favourites recipes even though you have purchased them.I wouldn’t recommend it. Sorry
