Peace of mind for an emergency
The weak spot in my go bag was food procurement, so I figured I needed an emergency fishing kit in case I need to leave civilization behind for a bit. Settled on this one due to the presentation. Turns out it’s pretty well stocked.1st pic is the kit itself, 2nd is a bag I added holding a little extra line, snap swivels, some copper wire, etc, 3rd pic is how it all fits together. Still room to add some more cigar floats which I plan to do. Losing all of your floats in a survival situation would be a bad feeling. Thankfully these ones glow really brightly so you can track them down if you need to. Good kit.

Great little kit
I spend a lot of time recreating and driving in remote areas. I got into the habit over many years doing this and seeing or getting myself into sketchy spots of being prepared with emergency supplies. This is a great small addition to my kit. I have this in a molle pouch for basic survival stuff that mounts next to my well stocked IFAK on a small duffel for some extra gear, warm clothes, and such. This can easily go in any rig I am using. I hope I don’t need to figure out how well this works in the real world but its good to have in case I get in the situation where I would need it. If you spend any time in the mountains, it’s easy to get turned around and lost. Just ask any of the first responder or any of the SAR folks in these areas. This is small and light enough to throw in pretty much any pack or pouch. I added a few small hooks and a little more fishing line than what it came with. Always handy to have extra and there are a lot more uses for these other than fishing in survival or emergency situations. Nice little kit and could help out big time if you are in a bad spot.

Nice little kit, but expensive
This is a convenient little kit that would make a good gift for a Scout. The items are well thought out. There is a wire leader, which really isn’t used for light fishing like this, but it could be used as snare wire if you wanted to make this into a small survival kit. My only issue is it’s kind of expensive for what you get; you could put one together with a Altoids tin for a lot less. But, if you want a convenient gift, this will work.

Fun and unique gift
Iâm going to start by saying I donât fish. But I got this for our next camping trip. My boyfriend is getting a fishing license and obviously we donât plan on catching any giant trout with this set but it will be fun with him to mess around with and take on hikes. You literally need to find a stick and you can make a little fishing pole from it. It has fishing line, hooks, a few different baits and a tiny reel. I guess it has everything you could need except the pole and it all comes in a convenient little tin that can fit right in your pocket. Itâs just such a fun little gift.

In Case Of Emergency!
My dad was a firm believer in having a survival plan and go bag. Coming from a military family, I too, keep a go bag in case of emergency! With that said; this kit is a survival must have. I went through all the pieces and everything is fine and the tin is compact, it fits perfectly in a small pocket of my backpack. Very nice quality for the size and the black tin has a cool appearance. The contents include a few types of hooks, and bait, making the fishing kit truly functional. It was definitely a good choice for my money and like my dad would say âbetter safe than sorry!â
