Versatile, effective happy light
I had been looking for a lamp to simulate daylight for me, to help get me through some mild Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) symptoms during our very dreary, foggy winter months. I found it with this one! One of the many things I like about this lamp is that it sets on the floor, so I can set it next to my easy chair and use it without having to talk up table space. Its base is solid so you can adjust the bendable portion of the lamp and it doesnât tip over. I also really like that it has 3 lighting levels and 3 different light tones. I use the bright daylight during the day when I am using it as a remedy for SAD and the soft white lower light level setting in the evening when setting in my chair to read a book. Itâs easy to set up and both the height and lamp angle are fairly easy to adjust. The height of the lamp works perfectly next to my chair. The design is very modern looking, so it does clash a bit with my transitional/traditional decor. I do wish they offered it in a more stylish design or maybe a dark bronze color. The utilitarian white isnât very pretty with my decor but the functionality and versatility of this lamp far outweigh the lack of color/style options.

I love how non – cumbersome this lamp is!The adjustable neck, and 3 different shades (easy touch ) including 4 levels of brightness to each shade is AMAZING 𤩠I actually think itâs helping me with staying happy (placebo?), although itâs frequently overcast during the winter.

I wanted to give it five starsâI really did, but it was a pain to put together. I purchased one, and I loved it! So I bought the second one. The inner cords are not the same. One was long and coiled, and the other had a shorter coil and was shorter overall. They were difficult to thread through the tubes and then attach to the base. But once you finally wrestle everything into placeâboom! These lights are fantastic. The solid base, adjustable brightness, color, height, and functional gooseneck make this a great product. I bought 2!
This bottle Is not original acgua di gio, and i won’t be buying from this vendor again. Real gio doesn’t smell this much like alcohol. And I was charged at a full price. This spray has a near yellow tint. Gio is very, very crystal clear. –

Dont be put off by the few bad reviews i bought 2 one for myself and one for my brother for christmas and we both love them. Plenty bright. Designed for low eye strain and no flicker. The hue settings are nice. Product is sturdy. I saw the bad review video and i think that was just a faulty lamp. Maybe he should ask to exchange for a new one.I love this lamp i use it daily.

Great lamp but Horrible manual. 11 months later it does not work.
THE BAD”cant put the lamp to the base no matter what I try what a piece of crap design.” That was my original review of the lamp on the day I Purchased it. It took me 2 hours to figure out that it was a mistake on their instruction guide. There is NO WAY to put the pole in the Base if you follow the manual. There are 3 steps in the instructions. YOU CANT DO STEP 2 IF YOU DON’T DO STEP 3 FIRST. You have to extend the pole before you can insert the pole in the base. I called Customer service and they were no help. After waiting 5 minutes they said no one could help me and to leave my name and number for someone to call me back. Customer should not have to figure our why its NOT working and then realize the instructions are backwards.THE GOODI would have given 5 stars if not for the frustration of trying to put the lamp together. It is quite easy actually IF you do Step 1 ,3 and THEN step 2. The Lamp itself is great for the price. Wish I would have had it during the winter. Really good lamp with different environment modes and 5 choices of light strength.EDIT on 3/11/23. ( purchased 4/2022) It no longer works. It only lights at the weakest strength. There is no way to change the bulb. Why make it non replaceable if it only works for 11 months? I have downgraded to a 1 star. Huge rip off.

Use it every morning!
I use this lamp every morning as part of my morning routine. Living in the north east with our long winters and lack of sunlight I commonly feel seasonal depression, so I wanted to give this a shot to see if it could boost my energy and mood. I do notice that I feel more energized when I use this lamp. It definitely gets a very bright, but you can lower the settings and change the hues to your preference. When I first tried to assemble the lamp, I did have some difficulty, but if you keep the two poles with one inside the other and feed the wire through, you can connect it to the base and slide both poles in the correct position. It just took some trial and error to figure it out. Definitely recommend you buy one!

Works great for dark winter day painting projects
I use the light for painting projects and it lights up the work area very well. It is easy to set the light to cover the area being worked on . It assembled easily and the base is sturdy – well weighted. The only drawback is that the power cord plug into the base is subject to breakage due to its location (it is easy to bend the plug during normal light movement to highlight changing painting angle, which caused it to break completely off for me). However, I mentioned this to verilux customer service via their webpage and they promptly sent a replacement part. I am very happy with the service and the very prompt reply to my contact email. A previous model that I purchased in 2017 is working great with no problems so hope that this power plug problem is just an anomaly (probably will rig up some protection device for the new plug).. Will purchase another, most likely, if / when my project area expands Love the light settings – both type of light and brightness level. Update on customer service concerning the broken power cord plug: I am blown away with the fast, courteous and accurate customer service. Within 2 weeks I had in hand a brand new lght – not just the power cord like I expected. In fact, I would have been happy to pay for the replacement power cord so I was doubly impressed with their commitment to make the light work again.

Mostly want to write the review to let people know that its not difficult to assemble. My husband laughed after I had it put together 60 seconds after unboxing, because he said there were so many reviews that said assembly was so awful. It took me 2 attempts to feed the cord through the center, and then threaded the base on. Literally didn’t read directions. Hubby did mention the tip of stretching out the lamp to more easily tighten up the base and that tip helped. Now I am somewhat handy, but not a pro by any means. And this is not to say that other people’s experiences are invalid – but that it might not be so difficult to assemble for you. The lamp itself is quality – the feel of the unit has a nice texture to it, it moves easily in position, the lighting levels are good. And it looks decent.

I purchased this light based on the many positive reviews. Some people on YouTube actually did lux and color temperature experiments with this light and it proved very true to its description. The ability to adjust color temp and lux intensity is an asset. Keep in mind that 10,000 lux on high is generally recommended. As for the problem some people had putting the unit together, I can’t figure out why there had been so many negative complaints about this. It’s basically common sense when putting it together and I found it very simple. You just have to be careful when completing the base attachment to ensure the wire fits in the groove in the small round metal plate in the base. Otherwise, very easy to put together.

This is my second purchase from this brand and their products have nice build quality. The assembly feels sturdy. But the power connector is tiny/fragile and at the floor level, very exposed to a kick, step, or being caught by a robot vaccum. That’s why it lost a start in the review, this is a poor design decision. They probably reused the parts from other desk lamps and should not have.I like that this light has the option to change color temperatures, and change brightness. I don’t like that it doesn’t keep memory of the choices when unplugged from the power outlet, making it impossible to use with a smart outlet.
