Does mostly what it claims, but unfortunately not very effective for me.
I bought this on a whim at 1:00am one night as I thought there had to be a better way to inhale steam, as the urgent care had suggested to clear out my sinuses, than to lean over a boiling pot of water, or waste a bunch of water in a shower.Technically this does what it claims as far as producing steam for at least 15 minutes. If you are traveling and feel that inhaling steam is helpful for you, then this would probably be a decent alternative. If you are home though, I would save the $60 this costs because I think the old fashioned pot of boiling water on the stove works better, with a hot shower probably the best overall.I hoped using this would be easier in that I could sit more conformably somewhere while using it, and that it would be less dangerous than leaning somewhat awkwardly over a large amount of open boiling water. In practice however, I felt I had to strain my neck over it in order to get close enough to the output of steam to actually notice any potential benefit. After 15+ minutes of that, the back of my head and neck hurt. It does use MUCH less water than I ended up boiling, so if you would happen to spill it, it would presumably be safer in that regard though. There were a lot of warnings about how hot the base and everything about it was because it is just a glorified coffee pot/water heater, but I found that the base didn’t really get hot on the outside. It only holds a VERY small amount of water. So little that I thought it could never last the full 15 minutes that was suggested. But to my surprise it was still going after 20 minutes, and was even still about half full.My main issue is that it didn’t produce a lot of volume of steam, so I had to get pretty close to it to feel like I was actually breathing in the steamed/humid air. Steam is of course very hot, so it was a balance of how close I could stand to be to it versus getting any benefit. I would say the small amount of false advertising is that the lady on the box seems to be blissfully inhaling the steam from 6-8 inches away from it, but even with it fully open as much as possible, I had to strain my neck to be directly over it about an inch or so above it.I think the best overall method is a hot shower since it fills the whole room with humidity without having to be directly in the path of very hot steam. I’m not one for really hot showers though, and I hate the idea of wasting water in order to just sit in a hot steamy room either. So this is at least another option.I comes with one sample of the scented menthol booster thing, but I did not try it, so I’m not sure if it makes much difference.Overall the last issue is the same with any of the methods in that at least for me, my nose barely gets that much clearer while using it, and then immediately clogs back up a few minutes after stopping. So it all seems like a lot of trouble for very little, if any benefit.

My Nose Has Never Felt More Pampered!
I bought this steam inhaler hoping for some sinus relief, but honestly, I think I accidentally booked my nose a luxury spa treatment. As soon as I fired this thing up, I half expected soft music to start playing and cucumbers to magically appear on my eyes. The steam hits just right—like a warm, cozy cloud hugging my face. One session in and my sinuses went from feeling like overstuffed luggage to the picture of clear, breezy perfection. I swear I could smell colors afterward. The little mask fits snugly and makes me feel like I’m part of some high-tech facial experiment… in a good way! My family laughed at how ridiculous I looked, but jokes on them—my breathing now has main character energy. If you’re battling sinus congestion, or just want an excuse to feel like you’re in a sci-fi movie every time you inhale, this is the gadget for you. 5/5, would steam my face into oblivion again. 💨✨

Too basic and costly; potentially unsafe.
Overall, the product did what it was designed to do but was missing some important safety features, such as auto shut off and water level indicator. It required careful disassembly and/or waiting until the water cooled down to check the water level. Even when fully assembled the parts came apart too easily when in use and when adjusting the valve to get more steam, which poses a burn risk. It was not worth $60, especially because it also requires the additional purchase of Vick’s pads (only 1 was included). Too much investment for its basic functions.

DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL YOU READ THIS
If you used this with a Vicks vapor pad you probably wouldn’t notice what you were inhaling. My wife used it to just get some steam in her lungs (recovering from pneumonia) and didn’t want anything in the steam. The steam had a strong smell of hot plastic/rubber (combination of all the plastic in the steam heater and the soft plastic face mask). She couldn’t use it. My 77 year old sense of smell isn’t great but even I could smell it. l VERY STRONG. We tried to run it multiple times to see if the smell would go away. It did not. How could you subject plastic and soft plastic to steam and not expect it to smell. I don’t know what chemicals this smell contained that you would be breathing in.On top of everything else, my wife thought it would automatically shut off when the water was gone. So on one of our trials to run it to see if the smell would go away, I left it on for about 1 hour. Then it had a strong smell of overheated plastic. It was so bad we had to put it out into the garage. This condition was OUR fault, as the instructions said to not use it without water in it. For the money, one would think they could have put a thermal sensor in it to shut it off it it got too hot after running out of water.I assume all the good reviews were people who used this with a Vicks vapor pad so they didn’t notice this.

Have used it for 3 days and has helped me more with me lung congestion after a bad cold then the inhalers I got from the doctor.Makes a lot of steam and fast. I had it closed as far as it goes and still had more then I needed. The product also came with one packet of a eucalyptus soaked pad that fits into one of the two slots in the steam chamber.Definitely recommend this product.

Este vaporizador es genial, no estorba, es muy portátil, hace lo que debe hacer sin más. Es fácil de limpiar y se pueden usar almohadillas de olor VICKS con él.
