This seems it will last for years.
This is the kind of thing you wonder if you need until you get it and find a million different uses you never had thought of until you purchased it. For example, soup — you can puree just about anything into a soup with this in seconds, hot or cold. Make homemade mayo in a jiffy — nothing else whips it up quite like this. Even meringue, egg whites in cocktails, whipped cream. Amazingly enough it can handle very heavy duty jobs like making nut butters, and grinding up dried fruits to add to breads and cakes. Smoothies with ice, a breeze. You can feel the power and quality.

Efficient and Powerful
Iâve used a few immersion blenders over the years, and this one from Vitamix stands out for its power and build quality. It feels sturdy in the hand and has a nice weight to itânot too heavy, but solid enough that it doesnât feel cheap. The motor is strong and blends things quickly and evenly without struggling.The 3-piece set is really convenient. I use the blending jar all the time for smoothies and saucesâitâs the perfect size for small batches, and cleanup is easy. The blade guard is also well-designed; it doesnât scratch up my pots when I’m blending soups directly in them.Overall, itâs clear this was made with care. It does what itâs supposed to do really well, and I find myself reaching for it more often than I thought I would. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Pricey but worth it!
Solid, good construction, and good ergonomic design without a cumbersome interlock like many are adding these days. No frills, but does what it does extremely well. I anticipate this product will last for many years. I tried a couple other top brand immersion blenders to replace my 15-yo one but they had one issue or another so I returned them. Took a chance on this higher price blender but glad I did. Bought the separate mini-chopper too for the set.

Best immerision blender I have used
I was a little concerned that the blender was going to live up to it’s name and price tag at first. After using it for a month or so, I love it and it is worth every cent. We have used it for soups, mayo & aioli, custards, dressings, etc. and it has just worked, flawlessly.

I regret that I did not buy this sooner. I wanted a handheld blender to replace my heavy duty counter top blender, but wasn’t sure a handheld blender could handle the task. I make protein smoothies daily. My smoothies are the consistency of slushies: starting with frozen fruit and heavy on ice cubes. After hours of reading many technical comparisons (Good Housekeeping, NY Times, Serious Eats, etc.), many customers’ reviews, and watching videos; I chose the Vitamix. The Vitamix was one of three that made almost every list, Vitamix usually being first or second. Big concern was could it handle ice cubes. I contacted tech support to ask that important question. The first company (one of the other top rated brands) replied that their handheld blender was not made to handle ice. When I asked tech support from Vitamix, they almost laughed. Now I know why. The Vitamix blasts ice cubes to smoothie texture in seconds. It does not even slow down. Also, Vitamix has a four-blade design compared to two blades for most other handheld blenders.Clean up with the Vitamix is a breeze. Stick the business end in a glass of water with a squirt of detergent, turn it on for a few seconds, rinse and done. It also freed up a lot of space on my kitchen counter.Caution: It is heavy. The women in the videos made it look easy, but my wife who is 77 has some difficulty. However, after some practice, she has been able to use it by holding it with both hands. I don’t recommend it for use by children.Also, the Vitamix is powerful enough to require some practice to get used to handling it.Recommendation: I bought some stainless steel tumblers that are large enough to make my smoothie right in my drinking container, eliminating another step.

OK So Far But Not Perfect
Even though there are cheaper units on Amazon, I spent the money on the Vitamix banking on longevity and reliability. I don’t want a blender that dies in a month. My use will be light duty two times every day for a cottage cheese mix with flax seed oil so no thick mixing will be performed. I’ve been using it for a week and the only concern is the vibration with the blender attachment connected under no load. Running the motor without the attachment is butter smooth and whisper quiet so this gives me concern about the attachment longevity. The claimed wattage is 625W which equates to over 3/4 horsepower. This rating is ridiculously overrated. There’s no way this is 625 watts in real life but it’s adequate for what I need it for. I was also disappointed to find this mixer IS made in China so I’ll report back, good or bad.

Worth the money spent on this product. The name Vitamix says it all. We’ve owned a couple other that were cheaper and they don’t even compare. Multi speeds and the power is by far the best. Easy buttons to use as well for those with long nails.

Ordered this immersion blender and didnât use it for a while after it was delivered. Went to use it for the first time and it doesnât work at all. I contacted the store on Amazon we purchased it from (Morpheus) and they denied it came from that. Absolute waste of (a lot) of money. Do not buy from them if you want to get robbed. I even sent them proof of purchase from THEIR store.

It’s worth spending the amount. Its functionality makes routine super easy and efficient. The blender is potent and versatile. The food chopper attachment with it makes chopping super easy. At its full power, the blender crushes anything within a few seconds. The blender is not bulky, and its weight is light. Very easy, clean assemble.
