Customers say
Customers find the rowing machine easy to assemble, taking about 30 minutes, and appreciate its smooth operation and quiet performance. The machine is well-built with enough resistance and provides a great workout, with one customer noting it has multiple tension levels. They consider it good value for money, and one customer mentions it’s an excellent investment for health. The size receives mixed feedback – while it fits well in living rooms and game rooms, some customers find the seat too small.

Great machine for good body workout in 20 minutes or less
The YOSUDA Magnetic/Water Rowing Machine is an excellent, well-built piece of equipment. Both my wife and I use it daily. It was easy to assemble, which took about 30 minutes. Its very quiet and works great and the resistance level is easy to adjust. I initially had some problems with the Bluetooth but customer service sent me instruction on how to use the Bluetooth which were not included with my order. Including these instructions for Bluetooth would have made it easier. Overall, I am really happy with the rower. If you are looking for a low impact overall workout, You should take a close look at this one

Works very well at its price point.
I’ve had the machine for about 11 months now, and am happy with the performance. I believe I probably have over 50,000 strokes on it by now so it has gotten a fair test. I’m not certain of the total stokes on it cuz the overall total rolls over at 10,000. It’s done that a number of times now. Was not difficult to set up. I initially noted some clicking noises while rowing and isolated these to the place where the main rail joined to the front frame. A small piece of cardboard (like the back of a note pad) helped to silence that. I also tinkered with the seat stop near the front of the main rail. I found that I would bottom out on this and did not care for the clack when the seat would hit the rubber stop. Inititally I added a small piece of foam cushion (headliner from an apholstery project) to the front of the seat where it hit the bumper. That had mixed results. I eventually removed the rubber “button” bumper altogether and added a foam rubber cushion about 3/4″ square to the stationary spot where the seat can hit it at the bottom of the stroke. This had the benefit of allowing the seat to come about 3/4″ closer to the wheel which I liked because it allows you to scrunch yourself closer to the wheel at the start of the stroke. Seemed to feel appropriate to me and is quieter this way with very little impact at the bottom of the stroke. The seat is OK but I sometimes fold a bath towel and add that as an additional cushion. The machine is quiet and has stayed that way. It does not have any “entertainment” as the display is just basic parameters of stroke count, time, pace (strokes per minute) and calorie count. I think that the calorie count is a very simple function of strokes as it shows exactly 200 calories at 1400 strokes. I’m not sure it is sensitive to the load setting or your pace. I kind of doubt it but I don’t care. I don’t watch the display, but have the unit faced towards a TV and generally watch something that engages me to keep going. You can get a pretty good workout in the last hour of the original Die Hard. That keeps you from constantly looking at your stroke count and thinking “Oh crap. I’m only half way to my goal…”. Bottom line is this thing does what is says it does and for a rather modest price compared to some of the wind and water versions, and it’s quiet enough to accommodate Bruce Willis movies, …or even Hallmark or Nicholas Sparks if you are so inclined.

Perfect Starter Water Rower
Pretty great machine, especially for the price!(My set up is just the machine on an equipment mat on hardwood.)Pros:The machine was extremely easy for 1 person to set up and the instructions were clear to follow. Noise isnât really a factor to me considering itâs a water rower, but I will say the sound it does produce is relaxing and enjoyable. The bluetooth connection works fine for the app Iâve tried it with, you just have to do a few strokes first to âactivateâ the bluetooth as simply turning the monitor on does not seem to. In terms of actually working out on it, Iâm extremely pleased so far. Iâve used it multiple times a week, every week, for 8 months and havenât noticed much wear. The seat is comfortable enough for the 30-60 minute sessions I typically do and Iâm able to work up a good sweat on it (at resistance level 1, as well). I also love the double rail set up as it always feels more sturdy to me than a low-midrange single rail machine.A major pro so far has been customer service. Iâve reached out about 2 things and theyâve been extremely helpful and responsive both times. Most recently, it came time to add fresh water purifying tabs and I reached out to customer service to find out about the water capacity for each resistance level in order to determine how much to put in and they actually measured and got back to me. 10/10.Cons:The foot pedals that come with the water rower have a tri-glide mechanism, not velco straps, and theyâre arranged so you tighten pulling away from the machine/your foot instead of towards. For me, this makes it difficult to tighten the straps while my foot is in the machine. The straps also loosen over time during my workout, so I usually stop a few times throughout to remove my foot, retighten and slot back in. Not a huge deal but velcro or something else would be much better in my opinion. Also, fwiw, I wear a size 8.5 womenâs and the straps are just a touch higher than ideal across my foot.Aside from this, no complaints. Buy this machine.

Great entry level machine
Very happy with this purchase. The machine was very easy to assemble and feels well constructed. The handle and seat are both comfortable and pleasantly surprised how quiet it is. This is my first rowing machine and is a great introduction to having one. I think the only downside is the electronics is very basic options but I am using a tablet anyway and the holder works well.

Very impressive rower at the price point!
I recently bought this rower. Assembly was easy and straight forward. This is a great budget rower! My one and only gripe is that it does feel a little tight at the bottom of the movement, but I would not subtract a star for it, it is a budget rower and does not have the extra bit of length like the larger rowers do (but certaily would be a much more expensive rower if it had that extra length). The magnetic resistance is very smooth and the whole unit is so quiet! I hear my foot rest striking the bottom bolt it rests against more than I hear the entire unit in motion. If you are looking for a rower but you don’t want to pay 1k for a high end one I cannot recommend this unit enough! I read the good reviews which made me confident to try it and I am glad I did!

Got this yesterday and tried it today with the following thoughts.Pros:1. great workmanship. the machine is pretty well built. can’t say about the electronic parts as it’s only been two days, but otherwise the machine is very solid.2. very compact and lightweight. I live in apartment. so this is very important.3. quiet. at the normal speed around 22-26 strokes, the foot pedal makes louder noise than the big wheel.4. great app and hardware integration. I downloaded the app and pair it with my iphone and apple watch all together. now I can use watch as real time heartbeat sensor, iphone front camera as optical sensor and display everything on the phone screen. It’s extremely help to see the data to make sure I can maintain target heart rate and good stroke speed during the entire workout. it would be perfect if the app can support watch with ipad, but that’s not machine’s issue.Cons:1. installation. video only is outdated with the first set of screw installation being completely different from what’s in the paper manual. Same goes for the parts and part numbers as they changed. In the manual, some minor mistakes on how the flat washer and spring washer should be stacked. one place said it correctly, then the others said it differently which was wrong.2. not enough resistance. I am not a big strong guy(5’9″, 158lbs), but I am starting all the way with 16 the max. It’s good enough for cardio fat lost and endurance I believe, but not good enough for strength.3. I bought the more expensive 02-magnetic pro version, but at the front of the wheel, it’s missing a pad at the front which gives it two options to store the machine. With the pad, I can store the machine upright without having to folder it which actually uses less space than folding it. The cheaper 01-magnetic rower does have that.
