+ good size for long walks or a marathon-style race (not for camping)+ 2L reservoir; Big filling hole, easy to clean; Hose routes on either strap+ fabric lined to keep things cool+ Plenty of pockets (seem water resistant enough); Bungee straps for trekking poles, etcâ Waist belt canât tighten on one side (buckle is meant to be fixed, but isn’t)â Phone holder is awkward and holds relatively insecureyI’ve been using a smaller one for my spartan races and I quickly realized I needed something slightly bigger (water reservoir too). This works well at about 20L storage capacity and 2L water reservoir. It has plenty of pockets for the little things I need like snacks, a place for my keys, enough space for an extra shirt, and it should hold enough water out for a while. I doubt the water resistance will last longer than 3 events, but we’ll see. I appreciate the straw dust cover, but I also doubt it will last long.I like the phone holder, it’s where I need it, but it feels slightly lose and insecure. It’s easy to move or just place IN the bag, so I’m not too worried.I just hate that the right-side strap does not hold. It’s clear that the buckle was designed to be sewn in a fixed position and the adjustable one is the left side. They decided to fix this by putting a little elastic over the strap to barely hold it in place. Unfortunately, this oversight makes me doubt the integrity and quality of the whole bag and I feel compelled to drop to 3 stars. I will eventually update with the survival status of the bag.

Super rugged exterior on this, and great pocket locations and size. This is just right for a hike. I’m a sketch artist and writer, and go for long stretches on trails. This is a fantastic way to pack everything and get water on the way. Absolutely LOVE the front phone pocket with the ability to video on a walk, or take audio notes. Nice touch. The water bladder thing…just make sure you thoroughly wash it out and dry it prior to first use, sit it out where it can dry openly for a bit. Factory smell is not too bad, but it is there. Love this.

Only good for water & snacks!
This hydration backpack is exactly what it says it is. Keyword being HYDRATION. Itâs a very small backpack (like the purse size for women) and no space for carrying lots of extras (laptop, chargers, etc) like you can with a normal backpack. Outside of the main compartment (which is filled with the water bladder) there is only two small pockets on the front. This is NOT a regular backpack. Basically it would be for your water and some snacks, so depending on what you needed to bring, you may still need to carry another backpack. If all youâre doing is hiking, then this is great, but if you need more space and pockets, look elsewhere because this isnât it. One thing I do love is the detachable cell phone holder, which I will remove and use in my purse. But overall, the backpack is just much smaller than I anticipated and not for me so I canât recommend it.
