Released in August 2022, our 3rd generation Water Bottle & Snack Holder takes our Water Bottle Holder and adds a front pouch to store your favorite snack or small accessory for easy and quick access. Our Water Bottle & Snack Holder is designed to carry a 1L Smartwater bottle (2.75″ diameter). The front pouch, which is 4” x 5”, has an elastic front strap so the item you put in the pouch is held securely. The holder easily attaches (see ‘Install Video’) to your backpack’s shoulder strap with snap hook on top and two rear elastic bands to provide stability when hiking. Top and bottom loop pull tabs make it easy to insert and pull water bottle out of the holder. Ultralight weight of 0.9 ounces. Holder dimensions are 4” x 9.5”. The design, material, and stitching used to produce this holder ensures it’s as functional, durable, and ultra-light weight as possible. A little about the material we use: The front and back is made of super durable 100% nylon mesh. The elastic straps, cording, and buckle are made from high-strength nylon. Our craftspeople use reinforced stitching techniques to ensure extreme durability along each seam. If you prefer to have the holder sit approximately 1.5″ higher on your shoulder strap and be attached without the snap hook, please watch the Install Video on our website to see how to remove the snap hook and use the lower buckle as the fastener. Please note that your backpack must have detachable shoulder straps as our holders slide around a shoulder strap. Also, you can carry the Smart Water bottle upside down (see photo) as some hikers find it easier to insert the bottle into the holder this way.
Our water bottle & snack holder is designed to carry a 1L Smartwater bottle and a snack/small device.
Attaches to your backpack’s shoulder strap with a snap hook and two rear elastic bands to provide stability.
Top and bottom loop pull tabs make it easy to insert and pull water bottle out of the holder.
Dimensions of holder are 4′ x 9.5′.
Ultralight weight of 0.7 ounces.
Part number: MM005
Customers say
Customers find the bottle holder to be of good quality and versatile, with one mentioning it’s a wonderful addition to their backpacking setup. Moreover, the holder fits a smart water 1-liter bottle perfectly and is easy to attach. However, customers disagree on the functionality, size, and weight of the holder, with some finding it too small and difficult to insert bottles.

Works well!
I guide backpacking and mountaineering trips, go on fastpack adventures, and am an untrarunner. I have yet to see a pack this won’t work well on, including my 5yo son’s backpacking pack. Note that it is too skinny for a Nalgene, but for good reaaon – you wouldn’t want that much bulk/weight on the front. Buy a bottle of water at the grocery store that fits, and reuse it. Also fits a 0.6L Hydrapack water filter soft flask, which is the best backpacking filter currently.

Very convenient
Great product -although I had to alter mine. My back pack would not come apart to slide on so I cut elastic straps and sewed them back after placing it on my strap ..

Love the convenient placement, doesn’t add much weight.
I love the simple light weight design. Could be a little bigger in diameter for most standard reusable water bottles. A tall SmartWater bottle fits well.

Design could use a few tweaks
Over all this works OK, however the straps that go behind the shoulder strap to keep the bottle from bouncing are a solid piece. This works great if you can seperate you shoulder strap and slide them over. However my packs all have sewn rolled ends (a common feature so it does not slide all the way out) which means I either have to pick out the stiches, put the pouch on then reroll the end of that strap, or find another way. I found another way, which was to tie it down with short pieces of cordage, but that means it bounces more. This could have been avoided if the retention straps had either Velcro connection points or some kind of small buckle.

Here to buy my 5th
Love these little pockets! I included the image to show them on a variety of backpacks.Clockwise from top left, Gregory 35L, Osprey 25L, ZPacks 60L, Gregory 18L. Single images, ZPacks 60, Osprey 18, Gregory 35.I had no problem attaching to any of the backpacks, sometimes would use a loop of Paracord on an attachment point on the pack. The only modification I made to the pocket was to add a little shock cord on the bottom pocket, so I can cinch it shut (since my glasses case doesn’t always fill it in enough to make the smaller pocket tight for my knife and chapstick).Size wise, I have a long torso, so my packs are all large mens except ‘one size’ for the 18L.

Too cheaply made to last very long
It fit just fine but the cheap elastic bands that hold it to your should strap wouldn’t last very long. Save your money. I returned it.

Must have for backpackers
Great fit for the Osprey Eja Bags! Their cell phone pocket is also a must!

Great for hiking, easy to use. Bit buttery putting on tge strap but well worth it.Would buy again and recommended to a hill walking friend who has also brought one.

Easy to attach to backpack strap, for better access to water during a hike

Trop petit seulement une petite bouteille de 0,5 litre ou une flasque souple rentre par lâorificeâ¦. Et lâarticle est cher , par contre très léger.

I love this little bottle holder! While I otherwise love my osprey pack, it has two water bottle pockets juuuusst out of reach, which meant stopping to take off my pack every time I needed to drink. Needless to say, this was not ideal. This gadget solved my issue perfectly. It attached easily to the shoulder strap and fits a wide range of bottle sizes. It even fits an umbrella when needed! Donât hesitate to buy this. Itâs a gamechanger.

Excellent alternative and lighter than any others. Is still doing a good job.
