Customers say

Customers find the blood pressure monitor reliable and easy to use, though some report difficulties with instructions. The Bluetooth connectivity is problematic, with multiple customers reporting issues with pairing and app compatibility. The accuracy and blood pressure readings receive mixed feedback – while some find it accurate, others report erratic readings and consistently high measurements. Several customers consider it a waste of time and money.

Inaccurate device – too high readings – Do not buy!
I bought this device, of a German high quality brand, as a successor to the A&D wrist device that I had for ~15 years and that was falling apart naturally.Getting it to work was terrible. I emailed with the customer service, they were kind and helpful and told me that inprinciple, to set it up and connect BT, one must remove the batteries and put back in. This is nowhere in the extensive instructions. However, a big shock: my blood pressure was now much higher! I blamed my old device, thinking this brandnew one must be more accurate. I consulted with my doctor who was very alarmed (we are adjusting dosing of blood pressure drugs), so, what now. As I had to go to the clinic for blood draw, I took my old (A&D) and my new (Beurer) device. Both are wrist devices – these always give higher readings than upperarm devices. We tested both devices and the clinic device. Surprise: my ol wrist device was only slightly higher than the clinic upperarm device (this was to be expected), but the Beurer device measured MUCH higher values – a plus 20mmHG (the mesurement unit) above the clinic device, both systolic and diastolic. So, this is very dangerous if this is your only device and you report values to your doctor! It may end up in wrong assessment of your hypertension and possibly too high drug doses. This is an even bigger risk now with COVID-19 restrictions: there are fewer clinic visits for BP measurement, doctors rely in part on the patient’s home device.I usually do not write long reviews (or reviews at all) but this is a health safety issue.I was so ups, I did not even send the device back. Waste of money and now also electronic waste.

    Great product
I was skeptical about this wrist blood pressure monitor at first. It was recommended to me by a friend, but i always preferred the traditional one that goes on your upper arm. I’m pretty happy with these results though. It’s so easy to use and all the readings have been accurate. It’s also very easy to set up the app on your smart phone so I can keep track of everything on my phone! I don’t have to keep looking back at the blood pressure monitor. Overall very pleased.

    Very good product
I use this almost every day since my doctor asked me to measure my blood pressure. I think this is very fast, convenient, and accurate. I like that I can sync with my phone and sync with Apple Data

Readings erratic from one minute to another; synching issues!
When my wife began to have relatively high blood pressure, her doctor suggested we purchase a blood pressure monitor and keep track of the readings. We reviewed several devices on Amazon and thought that the Beurer BC57 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor – Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Cuff with Bluetooth would be the best one, even though some purchasers complained about problems synching the device to the application. After purchasing the unit, installing the ap and taking the reading, the unit first synced to her cellphone without any issues. After the third time, the Bluetooth icon on the unit would flash but the ap wouldn’t transfer the reading from the unit to her cellphone. Also, the blood pressure readings weren’t consistent from one to the next, taken within a two minute timeframe. We tried to return the unit to Amazon but the request screen directed us to contact the manufacturer since they offered a 60 day warranty. We registered the unit and will be contacting them for support as the problem might be resolvable. I will update this review when the issue is resolved (the warranty period hasn’t expired yet).

Great device for… On the wrist blood pressure monitors
Great device for…On the wrist blood pressure monitors. I choose wrist monitors because I find that they always fit, unlike upper arm monitors where the cuff size is always a gamble. I found this Beurer monitor to yield results the same or very close to what my doctor measures. Love that it is a Bluetooth smart device and keeps all my data stored in a central location, and syncs automatically to the app. This makes it easy to show my doctor my measurements.

Très facile à utiliser une fois le paramétrage fait. Les instructions du livre ne sont pas claires. Par contre, j’ai très bien réussi avec leur logiciel

After reading several reviews on Beurer, I decided to buy this device and patiently awaited its arrival.Today I decided to set it up and give it a run, the results were APPALLING!First:1) The Bluetooth function does not work – it took me a while of tinkering with my iphone to realize that you need to go into the app setting and allow it to use Bluetooth. Caution – This enables Siri and you know your data is now open…2) The device will not connect with the iphone – throw everything and the kitchen sink at it – nothing happens.SecondI decided to check my BP and it showed 129/49. Immediately after I did a second read – now my BP went to 117/65.ThirdThe battery compartment is built in such a way that you need to angle it in an odd manner to get the two batteries in.FourthYou will receive instructions in every language conceivable but nothing on troubleshooting. You’d think these guys would have perfected their key selling feature and had a section on how to get it going?!It is unfortunate that the reviews and claim of German manufacturing appear to be just a sales pitch – this is a piece of garbage – I WASTED MY TIMETrust me, if you have hypertension – this will knock it into overdrive once you have had the same experience as I did, and with difficulty, you repackage it!
