Easy, fast, and smooth weight selection.
***** Update: 6 months in with 3-5 workouts a week and these are still rockin’ like day 1! *****I couldn’t find reviews for this set of dumbbells online anywhere prior to purchasing, but I took a chance on them because I like the CAP brand, they look quite nice, and the price is very good for this amount of weight. I’m happy to say that I’m glad I took a chance on these instead of some no-name brand!Pros:- The weight selections are sequential from low to high. Some of the no-name brands I was considering had seemingly random weight orders (i.e if you want to go up 5 lbs, rotate 1 clockwise, but for 10 lbs, rotate 2 counterclockwise… which would be confusing and annoying).- The handles, when the dumbbells are docked in their holder, rotate easily but feel solid and click into place for each weight increment. When not docked, there is minimal play and they remain locked into place quite securely. I never feel like I’m holding anything but a normal dumbbell.- Regardless of how many plates you have loaded onto the handles, the dumbbells line up and slide into their base with ease. I haven’t had any failed attempts where I had to lift back up and try again. Just good engineering all around.- The handles are smooth while having a nice texture, paradoxically giving a pretty good grip while not tearing up your palms (though I wear gloves for higher weights just because).Cons:- Not really the product’s fault, but all adjustable dumbbells tend to be a bit wider than standard dumbbells. I haven’t found this to be a huge problem, I just take care not to let them hit each other side-on for fear of breaking them.Other:- I haven’t had them long enough to comment on durability, but I will be sure to update the review if there are any problems.

Solid Adjustable Weight
I bought two of these as an affordable option to have better dumbbells up to 55lbs. I have another brand of adjustable weights that only go to 25lbs. These are so much better. The easy weight change mechanism is quick and easy. They feel so much more solid than my other low cost set and they don’t move and rattle excessively when I lift them. Because these go from 10 to 55 lbs with 5 lbs increments they are somewhat large/bulky, which is a little annoying. Also as everyone mentioned the plastic base could be better. Its not bad but will be a problem if they break. Overall though, for the price these appear to be well worth it. They may not be for a professional body builder, but for my at home gym I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.

I was looking for adjustable dumbbells and settled on this after looking at many different brands. Although the price was a little higher than my second choice, this seemed like a better deal and it is.I like these dumbbells. They are easy to adjust; just move the handle to the weight that you want. What I like about this one is that it is in 5lb increments. I have seen others that are 10 lbs which is too much. Also I like that this goes up to 55lbs although I am not at that level yet. LOL.Overall, they are quality weights and have not had any major issues so far. The only thing is that sometimes one of the last plates gets stuck when pulling the dumbbell out of the cradle. Just need to be careful and not yank the dumbbell off the cradle.The build quality is great. The overall length is longer than I would want but manageable. From what I have read others, this length is one of the smaller ones.I will post updates once I use these for a while. I am happy with my purchase.
