Product Description
Deep Clean, Prolonged Performance
Cleaning the filter element has long been a challenge for water filter straws. Many traditional designs are one-piece with fixed caps, making deep cleaning rather difficult.
Our modular split design allows each section to be connected to a common 28mm threaded bottle filled with clean water, enabling deep and effective backwashing. This helps maintain performance, reduces clogging, and extends the filter’s lifespan for dependable water purification on every adventure.
Effortless Flow, No More Tired Cheeks
Some water filter straws have weak flow and need strong suction. No one wants to struggle to get a sip when they’re parched. Our filter straw features the latest 5th – Gen Hollow Fiber UF Membrane, significantly reducing water flow resistance. This makes every sip faster, smoother, and effortless.

No extra syringe needed! This keeps your filter unclogged and greatly extends its lifespan, filtering up to 1,500 gallons (6,000L) of water
0.1-Micron Filtration – 99.99% Removal Rate: Our water filter removes 99.99% of harmful particles, sediments, and E. coli, providing cleaner water than most 0.2 – micron filters. Versatile and compact water filter straw
This detachable water filter straw is a great addition to any camping, hiking, or emergency preparedness kit. While I haven’t had the opportunity to test it with truly contaminated water, it seems to be a well-designed and functional product. One of the standout features is its ability to attach to standard 28mm-threaded water bottles on both ends. This is incredibly useful for filtering water directly into a bottle for later use, or for backwashing the filter with clean water to extend its lifespan. The modular split design makes cleaning easy, and eliminates the need for a separate syringe. The 0.1-micron filtration is impressive, claiming to remove 99.99% of harmful particles, sediments, and E. coli. While I can’t verify this claim with lab testing, the technology is well-established and gives me confidence in its effectiveness. Â The built-in compass is a nice bonus, though I wouldn’t rely on it as my primary navigation tool. It’s a bit finicky and requires a tap or shake to ensure it’s moving freely. However, once settled, it seems to be accurate. The 5th-gen low-resistance UF membrane makes drawing water effortless, which is a significant improvement over other water straws I’ve used. The compact size and lightweight design make it easy to pack and carry. It’s a must-have for any outdoor enthusiast or anyone looking to be prepared for emergencies.Pros:Detachable design for easy backwashingCompatible with standard water bottles0.1-micron filtrationBuilt-in compassLow-resistance UF membraneCompact and lightweightCons:Compass can be finickyInstructions could be clearerOverall, I’m very happy with this water filter straw. It’s versatile, compact, and seems to be highly effective. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable water filtration solution for outdoor adventures or emergencies.

Not the easiest filter to use
I have no way to test if the filter actually filters what it says it does. But I can report how it was to use. I’m a backpacker and we have had a variety of water filters through the years.First, the instructions aren’t clear. It looks like someone got an AI to translate or someone who isn’t great with English. Though with thought you’ll figure it out. Second, as with all water filters, the filter needs to be wet before it really starts working. With our various other filters, its the first bit out that you dump, but here, using this as a straw meant I was spitting out salt-flavored water. It was ooky. Then I realized that when the instructions talk about a water bottle, they are talking about the normal sized plastic bottle, and yes, the filter screws onto the neck of a plastic water bottle. And you can use the bottle to force water through. Third, you need to force the water through. I was even able to back flush with the water bottle screwed on to the outlet end. Pictures suggest you can use this as a gravity filter, but I suspect gravity isn’t quite enough to make the water go through, esp as you near the end of the water in the dirty bag.Next, if you are in a situation where there just isn’t clean water, this would be nice to have. If you have a plastic water bottle, it would be even nicer and two plastic water bottles would be even nicer. But even with out any water bottles, you can, with a good bit of sucking on the device, get water through the filter and into your mouth. In conclusion, we’ll likely pack these along when we next go backpacking. And maybe a few plastic water bottles if we can handle that extra weight. And if nothing else, my 2 kiddos will have something to keep them occupied and hydrated!

This works really well!!
I tested the water from this with a tester that tests for particles. I have a reverse osmosis system at my home. I got a #2for the reverse osmosis water and 47 for my glacier spring water (my neighborhood has glacier spring water, unfiltered but it’s been having issues lately) The tester just tests for particles. But at least I know this thing works since I got a #2 from water from the creek where it came out of a long area where it’s filterer and I got a 47 from the dirty water and from my tap.

Great filtration straws
So far, so good. I obviously haven’t been in an apocalyptic situation where I relied on these things, but in basic testing they seem to work well enough. They are fairly large, so don’t thing the word straw means straw sized, but logically they have a bunch of filtration in them so they end up being rather large. Still, they are small enough to be stored in any bag, and it’s nice to have two of them as well. Overall a good thing to have around and I’d recommend them.

Essential Addition to My Hiking Gear
I recently added the Bencai 3-Stage Detachable Water Filter Straw to my hiking backpack, and while I haven’t had an emergency where I needed to use it yet, it’s reassuring to have it on hand. The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry without adding bulk to my gear.âThe 3-stage filtration system is a standout feature, offering protection against various contaminants, which is crucial when sourcing water from natural bodies. The built-in compass is a thoughtful addition, enhancing its utility for outdoor adventures.âOverall, this water filter straw provides peace of mind during hikes, knowing that I have a reliable method to access clean drinking water if needed. It’s a valuable tool for any outdoor enthusiast.
