Great replacement pieces
Worked exactly as needed to replace a missing piece of my weight set. The thread was perfectly aligned. Reasonable price. Strong enough plastic – does not feel flimsy.

Grip well and attach easily
We use these to snug down the star nuts that secure iron weight plates on dumbbells. The reason is that the iron plates begin to rattle a bit on the handles after being picked up and put down a few times and while that isn’t the end of the world, you need to tighten the star nuts so things don’t get worse. These vinyl collars screw easily onto the handle with enough resistance that they grip well and don’t loosen. Now, with the star nuts snugged up by these collars, the star nuts stay put and the weight plates aren’t coming loose any more. Additionally, if you have ever gouged part of yourself on the exposed end of a dumbbell’s metal handle, you can put two of these side-by-side at then ends of the handle, tightened together with each other, and thus protect yourself from the metal ends with no more gouging to worry about. Very pleased with these.

There plastic, not metal and they slip when you tighten them.
I bought these to back up my other collars. I find that when you use two collars back to back that you get less slippage and your weights actually stay in place.Two things you should know, they look like they’re 3D printed and the hole/threads seem to be oversized. It’s not an exact fit and this is why when you tighten them to much they slip. The whole purpose of these collars is to tighten them hard so that your weights stay in place.

Seems more like 1.25 inch fit. However it does grip on 1 inch. It is plastic, which is good at this price because metal at this price would definitely Crack or shatter

Cheap and Easy Solution
I have two Barbells and one EZ Curl bar and several pairs of plate loaded Dumbbells that use Spin Lock Collars. The common complaint is that they tend to loosen with use. I use these like a mechanic uses a double nut, one tightened on the bolt and the second tightened against the first. This way my plates don’t loosen as I lift.
