Keeps the knee secure
Received the brace this week to correct for hyper extension issues while ligaments are healing. Iâve been out walking prior to this and had to take hills up and down with an altered gait to try to minimize the hyper extension. Wore it today on an 8 mile hike with a fair number of steep hills and had great support all around. Will definitely be keeping this and using this. Also, itâs 14 degrees today so I had leggings on under thermal pants. Wore it over the leggings, under the thermal pants and it fit great and had no slippage. Easy to use.

Adjustable and strong support
I recently fractured my knee and have been on crutches. I didn’t want to wear the bulky hospital cast and was looking for a more comfortable alternative. After seeing my orthopedic, I decided to give this one a try, and it’s been perfect. The compression and adjustable straps keep it secure and comfortable, making me feel supported all day long.I was dreading having to use a cast because itâs really a hassle to remove for showers, but this brace is so easy to put on and take off, yet it provides great stability. Iâm no longer worried about my fracture not healing correctly. This brace is a absolute life saver, love it so much!

Not a good fit if youâre at the low end of the size scale
Please note that I ordered this brace on 11/14/24, and it was delivered on 11/19. It says I ordered a variation of this brace. It might be a little different than the ones they are offering now.I had high hopes for this hinged knee brace, especially since you didnât have to slide it on. But I was very disappointed. Iâm around 15″ around where the instructions tell you to measure. The smaller size offered of the two says it fits 12.9 to 21.6 inches. Thatâs a heckuva spread! The way the brace is designed doesnât really work on the lower range of the scale! The instructions in the listing tells you to bring the large strap around the back and CLOSE IT. The only way to âcloseâ it is to wrap it over the front strap, thereby making the front strap inaccessible. The next step in the directions is to tighten that front strap that is now underneath the one you just wrapped over it. Additionally, those front straps that go through the buckles are sewed on both sides of the front. If you tighten it, even while holding the large strap from around back in place, it bunches the brace under the strap! The smaller you are, the more the bunching.I can see the appeal of removable hinges if you are recovering from an acute injury, or if your needs change from time to time. It makes sense to have a brace that can change with you. But I also feel it makes the hinge âsloppyâ, or at least it did in this case. Meaning with the brace as tight as I can manage to get it, it still feels lose in spots, and the hinges have WAY too much play front to back. The hinges donât feel stable, which makes me feel less stable. And it feels bulkier and heavier than other braces with hinges, but Iâm not sure why.It also slapped me in hamstring with each step, kind of encouraging my leg to collapse! It was more limiting than other braces. I couldnât bend it very much.The bottom line is that the brace was more of a liability on me than an aid. It moved too much, felt secure in some spots and loose in others, and the hinge was just too mobile. The brace just felt too big, and I could absolutely still hyperextend my knee just as far.I canât recommend this brace to those on the lower side of the size scale. If youâre mid range to end scale, it might work great for you. I just canât make it work for me.
