All the Perfect Potato Wedges You Can Eat…
Also air-fried the Frankfurter perfectly, and toasted the bun to a turn. The other evening i tried something more healthful–sliced and dehydrated a couple of apples. After two hours on that setting, they were dried exactly to my taste. The machine also proved itself equal to a more delicate task: my half-pound handmade turkey burgers. I used the air-fryer setting for this one too, but it might have gone faster on Broil. Maybe I’ll try that next time and see if it blackens the onions, the way the big oven did. This thing is a lot of fun!

Cooks well but there are some issues
This is a spacious toaster oven/air fryer. I’ve attached a picture comparing racks. The smallest one is from typical 26qt french door style oven. The second one is the Panasonic. The largest one is from Cuisinart convection oven. The Panasonic is almost as big as the Cuisinart, which is NOT an air fryer. The Panasonic cooks very well and evenly. It’s rated at 1800 watts and all 5 heating elements work at the same time. In my experience, many of these appliances claim wattage of the total elements combined, but they never run all the elements at the same time. I tried mini potatoes and they were fork tender in less than 20 minutes. The door is well designed. It does not drip on the counter, unlike other ovens I used. When it starts working you can see condensation on the door, but that evaporates after a while. When you turn it on, it starts preheating (depending on the program) and beeps when reaching the temperature. You need to press the Start button again, to start the timer. I just put the food in, and turned it on, while it was preheating, to save time. You can change the temperature and time while it’s cooking, unlike some other models. Also, the electronic display tells you at what height to insert the cooking tray, based on the program you chose (there are 3 levels).A few cons:The oven has a vent in the back facing up – it requires clearance from above. The air comes out pretty hot. The body itself gets very hot, too hot to touch. YOU WILL GET A BURN IF YOU TOUCH THE SIDES. This is not different from other ovens, just beware.Another con: lowest temperature possible is only 160F. This is too high for dehydration or for warming up some foods without drying them.Lastly, this is a tall oven. Other ovens tall that have 4 rack levels that give you more flexibility and allow you to cook with two racks at the same time. This one has just 3 rack levels. It gives less flexibility.Overall, the Panasonic is a very well designed and built appliance. The controls are logical, the programs are quite accurate, and you can modify the time and temperature for all the presets. Build quality is a cut above other similar appliances that I used. It’s easily on par with the Cuisinart convection oven that I have.

11 pre-set functions and manual mode with temperature range between 160°F and 445°F
I see the oven has a stainless steel exterior and weighs over 25 pounds. It stands on four black hard plastic feet, each approximately 1 inch wide, 1½ inches deep, and 1¼ inches tall. The oven has 11 preset cooking functions: Toast, Airfry, Reheat, Bake, Broil, Dehydrate, Roast, Air Roast, Bagel, Pizza, Steak, and a manual mode. The control panel includes a power button, start/pause button, and a lighting button to toggle the internal light on or off. A temperature dial and a time dial are also present, alongside a button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, so I donât have to do manual temperature conversions. I used the dial controls to select these settings, which are labeled plainly on the LED display. The temperature control dial allows me to set the temperature between 160°F and 445°F, while the timer works from 1 minute to 6 hours. I set it to 375°F for air frying frozen potato wedges, as instructed by the manual. The double infrared heating elements turned on, and I waited approximately three minutes for the oven to preheat. The food cooked in 15 minutes. During this time, the oven emitted some odors that dissipated shortly after use, though I did not notice significant smoke. I realized I had to run the oven on empty for 15 minutes before use and wait for the initial smoke to dissipate. So, to be safe, I tossed those potatoes.I donât use the dehydrate function though as the lowest temperature I can set is 160°F, which is far too high for homemade tempeh or for dehydrating fruit at 135°F.I read in the manual that the interior is PFAS-free. A mesh basket rack, oven rack, and enamel tray are included. The mesh basket is large enough for holding a small batch of vegetables during dehydration for about 4 to 6 servings, though I had to soak it in soapy water due to oil residue. The crumb tray is removable, which makes wiping crumbs easier. I have to do this twice weekly to prevent buildup. The ovenâs capacity is listed as 1 cubic foot (28 liters) in the manual. I placed a 12-inch frozen vegan pizza inside, which fit with about ½ inch of clearance on either side. The internal dimensions, according to the manualâs specifications, are 14â inches wide, 12â inches deep, and 9¾ inches high. The air fryer basket measures 13âµâââ inches wide, 11â inches deep, and ¹³âââ inches high, while the baking pan has the same width and depth. The wire rack is 14â inches wide, 11â inches deep, and â inch high. I see the oven has a double glass door but with metal frame. On the interior side, I see the door has a magnet, left and right, at around second level so it pulls out the tray when I open the door.Fingerprints are visible on the stainless steel exterior if I donât wipe down the oven exterior weekly. The power cord is over 37 inches long, so I have to place the oven near an outlet. The oven is made in China and consumes up to 1800W with a power supply of 120V and 60Hz according to what I see on the sticker on the right side. Also, I noticed the exterior gets quite hot so I donât leave anything on top of it. And the fan runs all the time, no matter what function I choose and itâs a bit on the noisy side. Still, all my meals have come out done right so far.
