Tastes ok, but a great addition to any smoothie
This comes in a both with individual paper packets of the powder. At first I blended one of these up with just some almond milk to see how it tastes by itself. It turns the milk green due to all the veggies, and it does have a good vanilla flavor, but it has an evern stronger “vegetable” flavor – It’s not bad, but I didn’t love it on it’s own. I kind of reminded me of just blending kale and milk, nothing else really added. If this is what you want it’s great, but I would imagine most people would want to add more things for flavor.I ended up adding some frozen blueberries and a scoop of mocha flavored protien powder. Once I did this the additions were all I could taste. Perhaps a hint of the vanilla, but certainly none of the vegetable flavors any more.Overall, I guess my thought is: why not add this to any smoothie? You get more nutrients and there’s really no down side. It’s a whole lot easier than finding all the separate vegetables, washing them, prepping them, storing them, etc. This stuff is a great addition to a smoothie, or perhaps on it’s own if you like the “greens” flavor by itself.

Expensive but the quality is good
I mix this protein with a handful of frozen berries and it’s really refreshing! It is a little thick using the directions but I add extra almond milk to thin it out a bit.

Awful taste and even worse aftertaste
I first have to say that Iâm new to super greens, and did some thorough reviews before this purchase. I have tried so many recipes to just choke this powder down. Itâs awful. My last attempt, I added peanut butter, almond milk, bananas and strawberries. BLAGH! So bad!!!!! It literally tastes like vomit.

I wish I didn’t like this so much
I used to order Sakara meal delivery (it is VERY expensive, but the food is amazingly healthy for you). I was happy to see that Sakara had a greens + protein powder – but was hoping I wouldn’t like it because their items are so pricey.Unfortunately I love this and will need to re-order and add it to my daily routine. I’ve been adding a sachet of this powder to my meal replacement shake each morning and it provides the slightest bit of extra sweet taste, but otherwise I can’t tell it’s there. I didn’t realize how bloated I felt after having my shake, until I added this powder and somehow something in it is counteracting the bloating – like magic. I also feel like I feel more awake and energized. I thought it was just a coincidence, but I’m a week out and still have reduced bloating and feel great. I wanted to hate this because of the price, but I just can’t. It’s actually worth the money for me.

Update (1/12/24): The instructions state to add to a smoothie, but I wanted to test this with only water, so I added one full pouch of water. Mixed well in a shaker bottle, taste was good, and low amount of fine powder left.Summary: Have reviewed quite a few protein and super greens offerings via the Vine program. I prefer Made in the USA products. This product is a new combination of proteins and supergreens.Observations: SAKARA only has 11 products, many with good ratings/reviews, and they appear to specialize in health supplements. This offering contains 10 servings.Recommendation: There appears to be a trend developing recently, where a product will state: “manufactured for ABC” or “distributed by”; however, that does not say WHO made it, or WHERE it was made. A great way to get a lot of healthy greens into your diet with minimal effort
This Green super powder can be mixed with any kind of milk or milk product you like. Usually I have ones just mixed with water and they kind of float on top and make lumps. This product mixes well with my milk frother. It is just the right amount of sweetness, but I would love a bit more vanilla. It is very grassy and green tasting (because it is!) but, I am developing a taste for it. I have missed it with a smoothie too but have not quite figured out the correct ingredients to go with it to make is the right flavor. I do feel and look like I am putting healthy greens into my diet.
