OK, now I’m ticked off. A very unhappy customer.Just spent 50 dollars on this really nice air fryer from Amazon.Followed the directions in the manual. Gave it a burn in, and washed it out and soaked it several times. Must have tried cooking with it 6 or 7 times now….This air fryer has an incredibly bad plastic burning smell. It permeates the food with the odor and gives everything a burned chemical taste.Made me sick to my stomach everytime I cooked with it, and gave me a terrible sore throat.Our house stinks like industrial chemicals, and you can’t air it out even after hours of overhead fans and an open door.Basically, most of the reviews on Amazon raved about how simple and mess free it made cooking. Plus, no grease.So, I Googled âAirFryer bad chemical smell and food tasteâ, and got a whole page of discussions, saying it never stops smelling and people are wondering if they are being poisoned by what its putting in their food.We already threw away the packaging. I was not anticipating such a negative experience.I think these devices are dangerous and will most likely give you Cancer….or at least do frightening damage to your DNA.My thoughts are that AirFryers (at least the ones that are made with any plastic components) should be illegal to sell to the public. No different than oil vaping or cigarettes.I bet 20 years from now there will be health lawsuits all over the place against the manufacturers.Yes, I and my partner are REALLY ticked off right now. And without the packaging it probably won’t be worth the time and hassle getting our $50 back from Amazon.Now it sits there taking up lots of space on our kitchen counter. We hate this thing!Has anyone else experienced this?? Buyer beware.
