A staple cookbook for every pasta lover
If you (like me and basically anyone with tastebuds ;-)) love Italian pasta and are always looking for more variations on how to prepare it, this is a really great book! Really appreciate the full color full page photos so you can eat with your eyes before deciding what to make. Iâve tried just 2 of the recipes here so farâ one to test against my go to recipe for carbonara and one to try something new (sardine pasta with saffron and pine nuts?!?!)â and both were yummy. (Really.)In short, this is a really handy cookbook to have on hand and one that you will actually go back to again and again.

The book is mouthwateringly good. The images of pasta dishes makes you want to find your most authentic pizza restaurant and dig in. So many enticing arrangements of essentially flour and water. And how about that cuttlefish pasta which looks like black pasta. You donât know what you donât know. My personal favorite is pasta e alici or pasta with anchovies. Love this. I guess I could extend this recipe to pasta with salted herring or salted fish. Great read for pasta lovers or pasta newbies.

This cookbook brought the heart of Italy into my kitchen without overwhelming me with complicated steps or hard to find ingredients. I loved how approachable the recipes were even dishes Iâve seen only in restaurants felt doable at home. The explanations were clear, the ingredient lists were reasonable, and the results were incredibly flavorful. One of my favorites was the Cacio e Pepe, which tasted just like what I had in Rome. The photos are beautiful and really help you know what to aim for. I especially appreciated the tips on sourcing authentic ingredients and the short section on pasta traditions. My only minor complaint is I wish there were a few more vegetarian variations and it’s also a great gift for any foodie or aspiring chef.

I’m a big fan of cookbooks. I have at least 30 cookbooks of all different cuisines. What I really like about this cookbook and it is very specific about pasta. Every single recipe, is clearly outlined. They’re not necessarily simple recipes, as anybody who cooks Italian dishes knows… But it’s a great cookbook. It is all about pasta specifically and not necessarily about different Italian recipes. Every single recipe features a picture of the dish, which is important to me. Very well put together. Five stars..
